BUSINESS: Not much to report here. I finally made some money off my art at a local craft shop! I am getting together a web site and just need to figure where I want to have it hosted. I will probably start with a site that has templates and once I feel comfortable with that, I will design my own. I have taken a couple of basic on line courses.

ART: I redid an old acrylic painting from 2003 for a local competition and am pretty pleased with the results. I can really see that my art has improved over the past 6 years.

I will start working on small 4x4 oil paintings to sell at various art/craft fairs this fall. I may also get some bookmarks made. I also need to get a brochure/promotional piece ready to send out to various publishing companies. Plus I need to finish wing on a prayer plus another painting for a competition I want to enter.

DISCUSSION OF THE WEEK: I am the worst procrastinator! I love to do my art and have all these plans and ideas for paintings, yet I keep dragging my feet and don’t get into the studio like I should. How do you make yourself get into the studio and work? I know all about planning your day and treating it like a job, but I lack the discipline to get there. I seem to spend too much of my time with "planning" and run out of time to execute my plans!

Till next week, Laurie
